Gentle homeopathic care for the animals you love

Every animal has a story. A consultation is not only about the symptom in front of you, but the wider picture around it: history, environment, temperament, patterns over time, sensitivities, vitality and everything in between. If you are looking for care that is thoughtful, gentle and individualised, you are in the right place.

The Consultation Journey

What does a consultation involve?

Every consultation at The Pet Remedy Co. is shaped around your animal as an individual. The process is designed to give me time to consider your animal's wider picture, speak with you in depth and prepare support that feels thoughtful, clear and appropriate.

Step 2

Your consultation

We meet online using the secure link sent with your booking confirmation. Together, we talk through your animal's history, current concerns, environment, temperament and patterns over time.

Step 3

Your personalised support plan

After your consultation, I prepare a personalised support plan with clear guidance. Where appropriate, this may include homeopathic remedies, supportive care suggestions, dosing guidance, educational notes and next steps. You proceed with the support that feels most aligned.

Step 4

Ongoing support

Care can continue as your animal's case unfolds. Follow-up consultations review progress and adjust remedies. Brief questions relating to your current plan are welcome within 14 days.

Find the right consultation for your animal

As a guardian, bring a deep understanding of your animal. Your observations, priorities and wishes are central to the consultation and help shape the support we consider together.

The consultations below are designed for different stages, needs and situations. Please take a moment to explore them and choose the pathway that feels most appropriate for your animal.

Skin concerns, recurring patterns and more complex presentations generally benefit from the additional time and deeper case-taking of an Initial Consultation. If you would like help choosing the most suitable option, please feel welcome to contact me before booking.

If another appointment type would better suit your animal, I will explain this clearly so we can agree on the most appropriate way forward.

How Care Packages work

The timing of consultations is guided by your animal's needs and response. Follow-Up Consultations are generally used every 4 to 8 weeks, while Mini Follow-Up Check-Ins provide focused guidance following a specific change or allow a current remedy prescription to be reviewed and refilled. Unused consultations and check-ins may be used at any time before the package end date.

If care is no longer required, please reach out so we can discuss the most appropriate use of the remaining support. Where suitable, remaining package value may be redirected towards transition or grief support, another animal in the same household, or remedies, supplements, products and postage. Remaining package value must be used within three months of care ending, unless otherwise discussed, and is not redeemable for cash.

Care Packages provide educational and complementary support. They do not include veterinary diagnosis, treatment, emergency support or urgent care. If your animal is unwell, deteriorating, in pain or you are concerned about their immediate wellbeing, please contact your veterinarian directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions guardians often ask

Choosing the right consultation

Yes. Care Packages are held online, so they are available to guardians in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Postage timeframes for remedies vary by location, and shipping to the United States can take up to 10 days.

Choose the consultation that best matches your animal's current needs. Acute consultations are for recent, clearly defined concerns. Initial Consultations are best for ongoing, recurring or more complex patterns. System Reset consultations are for animals needing a fresh foundation for wellbeing after periods of increased load, medical treatment or environmental exposure. Puppy Foundations, Homeoprophylaxis and Transition Support consultations each have their own dedicated focus. If you are unsure which consultation is most appropriate, an Initial Consultation is often the best starting point, as it allows time to consider the wider picture.

Acute Consultations are for recent, short-term or situational concerns where focused support is appropriate. This may include a sudden upset, minor injury, short-term stress response, recovery support, travel stress or guidance around remedies you already have at home.
They are not suited to chronic skin issues, long-standing digestive patterns, ongoing behavioural concerns or complex presentations, which usually need the deeper case-taking offered in an Initial Consultation.

Yes. Initial and Follow-Up Consultations are designed for deeper, ongoing or recurring patterns that benefit from a holistic review. This may include animals with chronic skin, digestive, immune, endocrine, behavioural or more layered concerns, as well as animals who have never quite been right.

This consultation is often chosen when an animal has a history of medical treatment, environmental exposures, procedures, surgery, stress or periods of increased load, and their guardian is seeking a fresh foundation for wellbeing. The focus is on supporting balance, resilience, vitality and the wider terrain, rather than looking at symptoms in isolation.

Each animal requires their own consultation so their support can be thoughtfully tailored to their individual history, constitution, breed background, environment, needs and presentation.

The Puppy Foundations Consultation is a 60-minute session for new puppy guardians who would like gentle, personalised guidance around early wellbeing, development, diet, settling, teething, transitions, homeopathic support and foundational care. It is best suited to puppies without complex, chronic or long-standing concerns.

The Transition Support Consultation is a gentle, 45-minute appointment for guardians navigating changes in a beloved animal who may be slowing, ageing or approaching the end of life. It includes the Transition Support eGuide and offers a calm space to talk through what you are noticing, consider comfort and wellbeing, and explore how homeopathy may support your animal and family during this tender time.

Homeoprophylaxis is a distinct homeopathic approach involving homeopathic nosodes. This consultation provides individualised guidance around homeopathic nosodes, immune resilience and wellbeing, particularly in relation to common infectious and communicable disease exposures that are often considered alongside veterinary vaccination decisions.Homeoprophylaxis is not a vaccine and should not be represented as one. No approach can guarantee protection from disease, and guardians remain responsible for healthcare decisions, legal requirements and ongoing veterinary guidance.

What to expect and how to prepare

We explore your animal's wider picture, including their health history, current concerns, environment, diet, temperament, emotional patterns, sensitivities, stressors, vitality and overall wellbeing. This whole-animal approach allows support to be considered in a thoughtful and individualised way.

Please complete the intake form as thoroughly as possible and gather any relevant veterinary records, pathology results, imaging reports, medication history, supplement details or previous treatment notes. Photos and videos can also be very helpful, especially where movement, skin, behaviour, breathing, posture or subtle changes are part of the picture.

No. Consultations are held with you, the guardian. Your animal is welcome to be nearby if that feels natural, but they do not need to sit on camera. Photos and videos are often very useful and can be shared before or during the consultation to support a clearer understanding of your animal's presentation.

Yes. All consultations are held online via a secure link sent with your booking confirmation.

After your consultation, a personalised support plan or written summary is prepared, depending on the consultation type. Any remedies, supplements or products discussed are supplied separately, where appropriate. You choose which items feel most appropriate for you and your animal.

I prepare each support plan with care and usually send it within a few days of your consultation. Once you confirm the items you would like to proceed with and payment has been received, I aim to prepare and dispatch your order within two business days.

Remedies and scope of care

Yes. Homeopathic care is designed to complement, not replace, appropriate veterinary support. I am always happy to work collaboratively with your veterinarian and other holistic healthcare professionals where this supports your animal's wellbeing.

Each consultation description outlines what is included. Homeoprophylaxis includes six base homeopathic nosode remedies. Transition Support includes the Transition Support eGuide. Puppy Foundations includes a written summary. For most consultation types, remedies, supplements, products and postage are supplied separately, where appropriate.

In many cases, homeopathic support may be used alongside veterinary medications, but each situation is considered individually. This is discussed during your consultation, taking into account your animal's full history, current medications, veterinary care and overall presentation.

I primarily work with dogs and cats, and also support horses, livestock, birds and other animal companions. If you are unsure whether your animal's needs are suited to this approach, please reach out and I can guide you.

No. Consultations are not suitable for emergencies. If your animal has difficulty breathing, collapse, seizures, poisoning, significant trauma, severe pain, uncontrolled bleeding, marked deterioration, suspected bloat, urinary blockage or any urgent concern, please seek immediate veterinary care.

Generally, yes, although each situation is considered individually. During your consultation, we can review your animal's current supplements, diet, medications and wider support so everything can be considered thoughtfully.

Tick awareness and worming support can be discussed as part of a broader holistic care conversation where appropriate. This may include education, environmental considerations, immune resilience, seasonal patterns and homeopathic support options. This guidance is supportive in nature and does not replace veterinary advice, legal requirements or the need for appropriate observation and care.
